Daniel says:

Ugh. Haven't had a photo turn out quite this bad before. The question is, do I need a new phone or do I just need a lesson in photography?

Chris says:

You need a new phone if your phone is only capturing images at 640x480. Otherwise if your script is simply resizing the pictures (I see that this one's 480x360, so I'll assume it's resizing it), you're good. But I wouldn't say that this photo looks bad... Sure, it's blurry, but next time take the picture in the camera's focal range and/or give it more light. Figuring out a phone cam's focal range can be a bit difficult though, but I'd say that anything below 1 foot away is gonna look blurry. Also depends on the size of what you're taking a picture of. Any camera will focus better on a large object than a small one. How's that for a photography lesson? :P
